AI marketers vs humans: how many BTL jobs neural networks will take by 2027
A Kazakhstani outlet examined how AI is changing the BTL marketing market — promo campaigns, tastings, field activities — and how many jobs neural networks may take by 2027. The picture is as expected: campaign planning, assigning promoters to locations, collecting reports and effectiveness analytics — the work coordinators did by hand in spreadsheets — automate fastest.
But this automation has a clear boundary, and it runs along live contact. The promoter who smiles at a shopper and offers a product sample is not replaced by a machine — what gets replaced is the paper superstructure above them: supervisors with summary files, report managers, schedule coordinators. The profession doesn't vanish — the administrative layer washes out of it.
The model transfers to almost any industry with field teams: sales reps, merchandisers, service engineers. The practical step for a leader is to cut each role's work into "contact" and "coordination": the second part automates today, and the freed hours return to the first. Companies that do this deliberately get both savings and better contact quality; those that simply cut people get savings and a sales slump.
