Kazakhstan to Start Labeling Clothing This Year

Kazakhstan is rolling out mandatory labeling for clothing and textile products this year, with the core requirements taking full effect on November 14, 2026. Manufacturers, importers and retailers will need to switch to digital marking for every item they sell.

Labeling lets regulators trace a garment from factory to checkout and targets the counterfeit and grey-market goods still common in the clothing sector. For businesses this means new routines: registering in the labeling system, applying codes to items, reconciling data on receipt and sale, and linking it all to accounting and POS systems.

There's time before November 14, 2026 to get ready: check whether your product line falls under the rules, register in the labeling system, and map out how code data will flow into your accounting software or till. Matching labeled batches against invoices and stock is exactly the kind of check 1Cifer's accounting agent runs on its own, flagging discrepancies before a person would spot them.
