Cloudflare launched Kitesurf, a browser built for AI agents
Cloudflare released Kitesurf, a browser built specifically for AI agents. Unlike a human browser, controllability comes first: the agent has limited, configurable rights, every action is logged, and the infrastructure filters malicious pages that try to deceive or "reprogram" the agent through hidden instructions.
Such a product from a company that carries a notable share of the world's web traffic is a milestone: the internet has recognized agents as a distinct class of users. The web, built for human eyes and hands, is growing a parallel infrastructure for machines — with different demands on security and identification. It also answers the recent incidents: agents that roam the web need a leash and muzzle built into the tool itself.
For business in Kazakhstan there are two horizons. Near: if your teams experiment with agents that act on the web — price checks, request collection, portal work — better do it in environments with logs and restrictions, not in a regular browser with saved passwords. Far: the share of agents among site visitors will grow, and the question "how does my site look to an AI agent and what do I allow it" is turning from a curiosity into a line item of web strategy.
