Gemini can now work through Google Docs comments: AI reaches the most tedious part of document work
Google has taught Gemini to work with comments in Docs: the assistant consolidates scattered feedback, proposes edits based on it and helps close discussions. The feature targets a familiar pain: a document with dozens of comments from five approvers, half of them contradicting each other.
The direction is telling: AI assistants have moved from generating text to coordinating the work on it. Drafting a document is old news for models; now they take on what ate the most time — multi-party edits, reconciling opinions, making sure no remark gets lost.
For companies in Kazakhstan it's a reason to look at their own approval cycle: how many days does a contract or proposal wander through edits, and where do those edits get lost — email, messengers, comments. Gemini-class tools remove the manual digest of feedback; the next step is ordering the route itself: in 1Cifer approvals run along a defined route with history — you can see who proposed what, who approved and with whom the document is stuck. Together the two turn week-long edit cycles into days.
