Nvidia forms an open AI cybersecurity alliance: the industry agrees on shared rules of defense

Nvidia announced an open alliance for artificial intelligence cybersecurity, inviting hardware makers, model developers and operator companies. The goal is shared standards for protecting AI systems — from model integrity to the safe behavior of autonomous agents.

The alliance acknowledges a new reality: AI has become both a weapon of attacks and their target. Criminals use models for phishing and vulnerability hunting, while AI systems themselves can be fooled with malicious prompts, poisoned data and hijacked agent tools. No single vendor can hold this front alone — hence the open-alliance format familiar from the history of internet standards.

For companies in Kazakhstan deploying AI the news has applied meaning. First, when choosing platforms and contractors, ask which security standards they follow — the mere existence of an answer says a lot about maturity. Second, "secure AI" requirements will in time flow into tenders and contracts with large customers: those who put their AI processes in order early will pass those filters without fire drills.
