From knowledge to decisions: the people growing companies need when AI hands out knowledge
Bluescreen published an analysis of the talent growing Kazakhstani companies need in the AI era. The core thesis: an employee whose value was "I know how this is done" loses to a neural network on speed and price. The winner is the one who turns knowledge into decisions — frames the task, weighs the options and owns the choice.
This changes both hiring and training. Interviews make less sense as recall tests and more as real cases with AI access on the table: what matters is which questions the candidate asks and how they verify the answers they get. Inside the company the same logic applies: "which button to press" courses go stale before they're finished, while the ability to decompose a problem endures.
For a business owner in Kazakhstan the practical step is to revisit the profiles of key positions. Wherever a job description says "knows X," ask yourself: doesn't AI now hand out X for free? The value of people is shifting to where AI is weak — setting goals, contested decisions, accountability to the customer.
