Tokayev orders a single mechanism for AI in industry
President Tokayev held the third meeting of the Council for the Development of Artificial Intelligence and instructed the government to create a unified mechanism for applying AI in industry. He also said Kazakhstan will present its vision of international AI regulation at the G20. Separately, the president praised the Astana AI Film Festival, an international competition for films made with AI, calling the project unique.
A unified mechanism signals that AI in industry is meant to move from a set of separate pilots to a systematic practice. The details of the mechanism were not disclosed, but the direction is clear: the state is working on the topic at two levels, from factory processes to international rules.
If you plan to launch AI in your company, set the rules in advance: who can access which data, who signs off on the result, and where the history of decisions is kept. While regulation is still taking shape, that discipline will cost far less than reworking everything later. An agent's access should follow the job title and its decisions should leave a trace: in 1Cifer, rights come from the company structure and approvals run along a route with a history.
