Meta Lets AI Agents Set Up WhatsApp Business

Meta has released an MCP server for WhatsApp Business that lets AI coding agents such as Claude, Cursor, Codex and ChatGPT handle account setup themselves. The agents can create and test message templates, run checks and fix common configuration errors.

Until now, setting up WhatsApp Business meant a developer manually reading documentation and running commands step by step. With the MCP server, an AI agent can read the task, call the right functions on its own and finish the setup, leaving a human to review the result and handle edge cases.

If your company talks to customers through WhatsApp Business, ask your developer or integrator whether they use Meta's MCP server — it could speed up rolling out new templates and updates. WhatsApp and Telegram are already built into 1Cifer as channels where each employee's agent runs the conversation and hands tasks to the right person.
