Zuckerberg: billions of people will have personal AI agents within five years
Mark Zuckerberg voiced a forecast: within five years billions of people will have personal AI agents — assistants that know their owner's context and act on their behalf: searching, comparing, booking, negotiating. The scale is comparable to smartphone adoption, and Meta, per its chief, is building infrastructure for it.
Skepticism toward tech giants' forecasts is healthy, but the market confirms the direction: voice assistants, agentic features in browsers and messengers — the largest platforms are converging on one point. If even part of the forecast comes true, the very way a customer finds a business changes: an agent will stand between the buyer and the store.
Companies in Kazakhstan should prepare from both ends. Outward — make yourself readable to other people's agents: current data on products, prices and hours in structured form, working digital channels. Inward — get an agent of your own before your customers do: leaders who already have an agent delivering business briefings — what happened today, where the deviations are, what needs a decision — grow used to managing by questioning data rather than waiting for reports. At 1Cifer we watch how quickly that habit becomes the norm.
