AI agents are spreading across EU businesses

OpenAI has published an analysis of how agentic AI is growing across companies in the European Union. These are systems that do more than answer questions: they carry out the steps of a task themselves. The analysis looks at both large enterprises and small businesses, and it separately examines where deeper use could unlock more value.

The conversation has shifted from "are companies using it at all?" to "how deeply?". Shallow use, such as asking a question and getting a draft, hits a ceiling quickly. Noticeably more value appears where AI is connected to working data and takes over a chain of actions rather than a single reply.

Where in your company is AI still stuck at "ask and copy"? List three recurring processes, for example reports, reconciliations and approvals, and check which of them could be handed to an agent with access to your data. Plain-language answers drawn from 1C, CRM, bank and spreadsheet data at once are what turn a 1Cifer agent from a chat into a working assistant for each role.
