AI agents at Parallel cut research time in half

Parallel, a research-automation company, has moved its agents to OpenAI's new GPT-6 Astra model. According to OpenAI, the switch let Parallel's AI agents gather and synthesize labor-market data in half the time and at half the cost of previous models.

What matters here isn't just speed but the way the agents work: they run the whole research cycle themselves — finding sources, checking figures, and assembling a finished report — without an analyst stepping in at every stage. The faster and cheaper that cycle gets, the more often a company can pull a fresh data snapshot instead of waiting for a quarterly report.

Check how much your own internal research currently costs — on salaries, competitor pricing, or industry benchmarks — and how long it takes an employee or contractor to deliver it. 1Cifer agents follow a similar principle: they pull data straight from a company's 1C, CRM, and spreadsheets and prepare a scheduled summary for the manager without manual number-crunching.
