AI-based digital platforms are set to reshape Kazakhstan's logistics: fewer idle hours, more predictability
Industry experts predict that AI-based digital platforms will substantially change logistics in Kazakhstan and Russia: matching trucks to cargo, building routes, calculating timelines and processing documents are moving from dispatchers and phone calls to algorithms. Kazakhstan's transit position raises the stakes — growing flows between China, Central Asia and Europe run through the country.
The gains spread along the whole chain. Cargo owners get transparency: where the truck is, when it arrives, what it costs and why. Carriers get fewer empty runs and less idle time at loading. The market as a whole gets a lower cost of error: an algorithm won't forget an oversize permit or mix up a time zone.
Companies for whom logistics is part of the business rather than the profession should note the principle, not just the platforms: repeatable processes with clear rules are the first to be handed to automation. Shipments, requests, waybills, closing documents — all are regular cycles. In 1Cifer such cycles are entrusted to an agent: it runs the recurring process on schedule — collects requests, checks document sets, nudges the responsible people — and a human steps in only where the cycle breaks.
