Astana Hub Launches ML School Kazakhstan

Astana Hub, together with Alem.ai Foundation and Yandex Qazaqstan, announced the launch of ML School Kazakhstan, an educational initiative. The program aims to train machine learning specialists inside the country, pooling resources from a tech hub, an AI development foundation, and a major market player.

A shortage of engineers who can build and train ML models slows down AI projects at Kazakhstani companies, forcing them to either overpay scarce specialists or bring talent in from abroad. The joint school gives students and working professionals access to hands-on practice and industry expertise, not just theory, and should gradually grow the local talent pool for business and government.

Ask yourself how many projects in your company are stuck not for lack of ideas but for lack of hands able to take an ML model into production. While the school's first graduates are still entering the job market, tasks like bookkeeping, approvals, and data analysis can already be handled with ready-made tools instead of waiting to hire a separate ML team. Business AI agents follow a similar principle: in 1Cifer, every role — from accountant to director — has its own agent with access set by permissions, no separate ML team required.
