ChatGPT Gets an AI Agent for Data Work

OpenAI has added a Data agent to ChatGPT Work. It connects to a company's own data sources, looks for patterns in the numbers, and builds interactive dashboards on request, in plain language and without formulas or code.

Until now this kind of analysis meant hiring a separate analyst or data engineer to pull a report together from several systems by hand. Now any employee can simply ask a question in their own words and get a visual answer right away — the company effectively gets a built-in analyst available to every role.
