DoorDash opens command-line ordering — including for AI agents
DoorDash opened a limited beta of dd-cli, a command-line tool for searching store items, building a cart, and placing an order. What stands out is that it's meant not just for developers but for AI agents too: the service is designed from the ground up so that a program acting on someone's behalf — not just a person at a screen — can interact with it.
For businesses in Kazakhstan, this is a signal to think ahead: could an outside AI agent — say, one used by your customer or partner — actually reach your website, catalog, or request system and get a clear answer? Companies running an online store, delivery, or booking service should check whether they have an API, or at least a predictable site structure that's readable not just by people but by software.
The trend is simple: software is increasingly designed for two types of "users" — people and the agents acting on their behalf — and businesses that prepare for this early will find it easier to capture orders coming through new channels.
