Kazakhstan Passes AI Law as Cyber Threats Rise
Check Point experts discussed how the rapid growth of artificial intelligence is reshaping requirements for software development, critical infrastructure, and government oversight. The occasion: in 2026 Kazakhstan named AI a cross-cutting national priority, the president made it an overarching focus, the country hosted major AI events, and Kazakhstan became one of the first nations to adopt a dedicated AI law.
As adoption grows, the threat landscape is shifting too: AI is increasingly used for attacks as well as defense, and AI-powered systems are themselves becoming part of critical infrastructure that needs protecting under new rules. Developers will need to build security in from the design stage rather than patch it in later, and companies will need to prove to regulators that their AI systems are controllable and transparent.
Check who in your company can access AI tools and the data they process, from correspondence to financial reports. Role-based access and a clear record of decisions are becoming a requirement, not a formality. Role-based access is exactly how 1Cifer works: each agent, from accountant to director, sees only the data relevant to their position.
