Kazakhstan's IT sector to discuss AI with lawmakers Oct 9
On October 9, Almaty Hub will host an open dialogue between Kazakhstan's IT community and deputies of the Kurultai. The announcement names Darkhan Akhmediev, Chair of the Committee on Digitalization, Innovation and Science. The agenda covers the issues that matter most to the industry today, how artificial intelligence will develop, what should change in technology regulation, and what conditions tech businesses need to grow.
The format is closer to a conversation than a series of talks: participants can put questions directly to the deputies and share their views. For business owners it is a rare chance to hear lawmakers before the rules harden into norms. AI and regulation affect anyone who is automating work, from where data is stored to who answers for a decision made by an algorithm.
Write down two or three questions that hold back AI adoption in your company: what data can be passed to a system, who is responsible for a mistake, what consents are needed. Even if you cannot attend, the list helps you check your own processes against what the industry is discussing. While the rules are still taking shape, it helps to separate data access now: in 1Cifer each role gets its own agent, and permissions follow the company structure.
