Kazakhstan to See 40% Skill Shift by 2030

We wrote on August 17 about how AI is reshaping Kazakhstan's labor market — now analysts at Ranking put a number on it: by 2030, about 40% of the skills required from all job seekers will change. Drivers include the growth of IT and artificial intelligence, along with economic and demographic shifts. Seven out of ten surveyed employers already name a shortage of the right skills as one of the main obstacles to growing their business.

Experts expect technology's role in the workplace to grow even faster over the next five years. According to estimates from large companies, people currently perform about 43% of work tasks while technology handles 26% — and that share keeps climbing. That means tasks once requiring a dedicated hire could soon be automated instead.

Check which roles in your company still rely on skills that are becoming outdated, and set aside budget for retraining or automating routine work. Technology's task share can grow faster than forecast once you assign it to AI agents by role, not generic algorithms: in 1Cifer, the accountant's agent doesn't just answer — it runs the process.
