Kazakhstan launches a unified digital healthcare platform
Kazakhstan's unified digital healthcare platform has gone live: medical data and services previously scattered across dozens of information systems are being pulled into a shared circuit. For patients it promises fewer repeat tests and paper printouts; for doctors, a complete picture of a person in one place.
For the sector this is foundational work: while data sits in disconnected systems, neither serious analytics nor AI assistants truly function. A unified platform is exactly the "boring" precondition without which talk of smart medicine stays on slides.
The lesson transfers to any company: the sequence of digitalization is always the same — first gather data into a single circuit, then plug in analytics and AI agents. If accounting lives in one place, sales in another and the warehouse in a third, start not with neural networks but with putting the data in order: that order is what later pays for everything else.
