Nadella: companies that trust one AI for everything may not survive
Microsoft chief Satya Nadella made a statement sharp by industry standards: companies that entrust all their processes to a single AI risk not surviving the coming years. His logic: the model market hasn't settled — leaders change every six months, prices and terms get revised, and a model brilliant at analytics may be mediocre at code or documents.
Behind the words is sober engineering: dependence on one AI supplier is the same vendor lock-in as with any critical software, only more dangerous because the technology is younger and more volatile. API price hikes, policy changes, degradation after an update — each of these has already happened in the market.
For business in Kazakhstan the takeaway is practical: when choosing AI solutions, ask not only "which model is inside" but "what happens if it has to be replaced". Good architecture separates a company's processes and data from a specific model: the processes stay, the model is a swappable engine. That question takes a minute at platform-selection time and insures years of work.
