Government approves a comprehensive plan for AI adoption in schools

Kazakhstan's government approved a comprehensive plan for the broad adoption of artificial intelligence in schools. The document covers the content of education — introducing schoolchildren to AI — tools for teachers, and the infrastructure needed to run new services in classrooms across the country.

For the education system it is the logical continuation of the "AI as a baseline competency" course. For the economy it is a long-term investment with a predictable result: in five to seven years a generation will start entering the workforce that uses AI as naturally as today's graduates use search engines and messengers.

What business in Kazakhstan should take from the news is not abstract optimism but concrete planning. Young employees will expect modern tools from an employer — a company running on paper and group chats will lose the competition for them at the interview stage. The test is simple: look at your processes through the eyes of someone who has known since school that routine is an algorithm's job. Everything that would puzzle them is your task list for the coming years.
