ChatGPT Adds Voice-Based Agent Tasks on Mobile

We covered on September 10 how OpenAI added a data agent to ChatGPT Work. Now the company has gone further: the ChatGPT mobile app has gained voice-based agentic features, letting Pro and Plus users issue spoken commands in the Work tab and get tasks completed hands-free.

Voice control removes the last barrier between wanting something done and actually getting it done — no need to type a request or hunt for the right section. The agent hears the instruction, breaks it into steps, and acts, bringing AI work into moments when your hands are busy: driving, walking, or between meetings.

Check which daily instructions your team already dictates into messengers or notes — those are prime candidates for voice automation. Accepting tasks by voice or text already works in 1Cifer: the role-based agent assigns an owner, sends reminders, and reports back once the job is done.
