eGov 3.0 is live: state services in Kazakhstan turn proactive
Kazakhstan's updated state services portal, eGov 3.0, has gone live. The key idea is not just a new interface but a change of model: services should become proactive — finding the citizen when a life event occurs, instead of waiting for an application.
The evolution is visible across the board: from "collect certificates and come in person" a decade ago, to "press a button", and now to "we've prepared everything, just confirm". Every such step by the state reshapes people's expectations — and citizens carry those expectations into the bank, the insurer, the online store and the service center where they are customers.
For business this is a ready benchmark to check processes against. How many times must a customer re-enter data you already hold? Do you notify them that a contract needs renewing or an order is ready — or wait until they remember? Proactivity is built on a simple pairing: customer data plus an automatic trigger. Companies that assemble it first in their niche take customers from those still working "upon application".
