Kazakhstan launches a large-scale digital transformation of the real economy
Kazakhstan announced the start of a large-scale digital transformation of the real economy and business. Where the previous digitalization wave was about public services — certificates, licenses, eGov — the new one targets enterprises: industry, agriculture, transport, trade. The state explicitly aims to digitize not just interactions with agencies but companies' own production and management processes.
For business this means two things. First, support programs, subsidies and industry platforms will appear — and, as usual, the first to benefit will be those who arrive with a clear understanding of their own processes. Second, requirements will rise too: digital reporting, electronic document flow and data transparency are gradually turning from voluntary practices into mandatory ones.
The practical step for an owner is to run the audit before it is demanded from outside: which processes are already digitized, where data still lives in notebooks and heads, what can be handed to algorithms. Recurring processes — reports, reminders, follow-up control — get automated first: at 1Cifer, for instance, these are exactly what businesses delegate to AI agents at the start, well before complex projects. Those who begin early will meet the state program as an accelerator, not a stress test.
