Phone verification via eGov and your customer database

Zakon.kz has published a piece on verifying phone numbers through the government's e-government portal and what will change for people in Kazakhstan. The subject is the confirmation of phone numbers via the state portal. The exact procedure, deadlines and requirements are best read in the original source and in official clarifications from the relevant agencies.

A phone number has long been the main identifier of a customer: orders, delivery, confirmation codes, mailings and messenger chats all hang on it. When the way numbers are confirmed changes at the state level, sooner or later it affects which contacts in company databases can be treated as reliable. This is most noticeable where the same customer is recorded differently in 1C, the CRM and managers' spreadsheets.

Export the contacts from your CRM and 1C and see how many numbers are duplicated, stored in different formats or no longer answer. At the same time, find out who has access to customer databases and who is responsible for updating them. Contact reconciliation can be handed to an agent: 1Cifer reads the CRM, 1C and spreadsheets together and flags duplicates and mismatched numbers.
