Kazakhstan signs decree to stimulate and develop its digital assets industry

Kazakhstan's president has signed a decree on measures to stimulate and develop the country's digital assets industry. The document gives the sector a state framework: digital assets stop being a topic solely of bans and mining scandals and are officially recognized as an industry the country intends to grow.

For the market this primarily means less uncertainty. When the rules are fixed at decree level, banks, exchanges and tech companies get grounds to build long-term products and investors can price risk; alongside AI, digital assets join the short list of industries the state explicitly calls priorities.

A business owner far from crypto should watch not the exchange rates but the infrastructure that will grow out of the decree: legal settlement instruments, asset tokenization, new financial services. The practical step for now is simple — if digital-asset operations were in your plans, wait for the implementing regulations and build within the legal framework from day one: catching up with regulation retroactively always costs more.
