NVIDIA chief praises Kazakhstan for its large-scale AI infrastructure
NVIDIA chief Jensen Huang — the man whose chips power nearly every large AI model in the world — publicly praised Kazakhstan and spoke about the large-scale AI infrastructure the country is building. When the supplier of "shovels" to the entire AI industry comments on a market, it is a reliable indicator: serious compute really is arriving in the republic.
For the economy this translates into several practical things. Local data centers cut latency and simplify keeping data inside the country — which matters to banks, healthcare and anyone handling personal data. Growing infrastructure also attracts talent and services: integrators, training and ready-made solutions cluster around compute.
A business owner in Kazakhstan should treat this not as news from "somewhere up there" but as a change in their own environment. AI agents and models are ceasing to be an exotic reserved for corporations: compute is getting cheaper and closer. The sensible move is to identify two or three processes where automation would earn money — so you plug into the infrastructure with a ready task list rather than starting to think once competitors have already deployed.
