Kazakhstan to Mandate Labeling of Supplements, Beer From September 1, 2026: What Business Should Check
Starting September 1, 2026, the trade rules for several major product categories will change in Kazakhstan. Under an order from the Ministry of Trade and Integration, mandatory identification labeling now covers dietary supplements as well as beer and beer-based drinks. The State Revenue Department for Almaty city has notified manufacturers and foreign trade participants of the change. For businesses, this means connecting to the labeling system in advance, marking existing stock, and updating accounting systems — from warehouse software to 1C — so labeling codes are correctly recorded in receiving and sales documents. Companies working with these categories should check whether their suppliers and distributors are ready for the transition, or risk having unlabeled goods blocked from sale come September. At 1Cifer, we've seen companies lose time during similar transitions not on the codes but on coordination: who connects to the system, who relabels the stock, by what date. Such a transition is easiest to run as a process with tasks — an agent assigns owners, reminds about deadlines, and reports what is still open.
